Mid-Willamette Woodworker's Guild (MWWG)

Who are we!

The Mid-Willamette Woodworker’s Guild (MWWG) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1982 by a group of professional woodworkers.   It is now a mix of people that enjoy woodworking for pleasure and professionals.  The MWWG is a volunteer organization that is sustained by the efforts and contributions of its members.  The purpose of the MWWG is to promot high standards of quality and craftsmanship in woodworking by education through workshops, seminars, exhibitions and sharing techniques with each other.  Many members provide their services to the community on a voluntary basis.  Through exhibitions and workshops, the Guild informs the local community about the skills of local craftspeople, and the materials and techniques required to create high quality work.    The guild encompasses skills from novice to master.  An active interest in woodworking is the only requirement for membership.  The monthly meeting is usually in the shop of a member or at some local point of interest to share and improve our woodworking knowledge and skills.  A theme is set by the Board each year which is the focus for about 60% of the meetings.
