MWWG-MONTHLY MEETING
February 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Mid-Willamette Woodworkers Guild’s February meeting will be held on Monday the 23rd from 7-9 pm. The location will once again be at Wade Hardware in downtown Corvallis.
This meeting will feature a special guest speaker: Autumn Peterson of Heritage Finishes and Summerbeam Books in Philomath.
While Autumn’s Heritage Finishes specializes in natural oil based products her talk will be about finishes and finishing in general, not just the products she manufactures and sells.
Besides her experience with finishes Autumn is a past vice president of the Timber Framer’s Guild and has a masters degree in architecture from The University of Oregon where she specialized in historic preservation. In 2023 she opened Summerbeam Books on Main Street, Philomath. A specialist bookstore, Summerbeam Books stocks one of the most complete selections of books in the US on woodworking, house construction, architecture and allied subjects.
There’s a lot to know about finishing, the final stage of our woodworking projects. We are lucky to have someone with Autumn Peterson’s expertise living in our area and willing to share her knowledge with us. Hope to see you next month at Wade!
